Las Vegas 2000 - Part 2 - Middleweight Robots |
Blade Runner, back in the place. With new flashy sponsorship stickers! Melty Brain was there, but non-functional... Next time, right Ilya?
The other Canadian robot, BumperBawt. Nicely built, but it was top heavy and ended up being flipped in the first round by the arena "hell-raisers". Complete Control and BumperBawt (rebadged as "BullardBawt") got it on a couple of times for Canadian TV in early 2001.
Team Loki's (of Rammstein fame) new middleweight spinner "Turbo". The outer shell is a titanium piece from a jet engine. Looked killer. Weapons listed as "a pair of sweet knockers". Team Loki rules.
I don't know whose robot this was, but it sure sucked.
Deadblow is another example of great layout, machining and general build quality. Grant won the MW rumble for the second time with Deadblow. Good job Grant!
The Master! I was stoked to see the Master return to robot combat. If you don't know, it was the first real ass kicker back in the days of Robotwars. From the mind of Mark Setrakian, it just oozes team Sinister.
El Diablo. This robot ended up doing in Complete Control. Nice new robot from a new team. I expect to see them back again.
